Harnessing an impressionistic style of acrylics on paper, "Cityescapeage," shows a blood red to crimson background, with muddy, dark colored skyscrapers lining the horizon. These paintings represent a backwards expression of thought on how cities affect skylines. A large number of people consider city skylines, especially in lieu of the Green Revolution and Global Warming Scare, to be stains on the horizon. "Cityescapage" depicts the sky as the blood stain, on white, impossible to extract and permanent to the core.
Gravity and style is a creative representation of sounds, emotions, and energy. Inspiration for the series comes from a variety of sources: songs, social and cultural ideals, personal reflections of feelings, and visualizations of thoughts. Playful color, line, and splatter techniques are key elements of every piece. How gravity pulls paint from the brush as it is splattered or seeping onto the piece largely determines how the style of work turns out, hence the title, "Gravity and Style".
